Help how to sync email with Comcast

I'm Android illiterate, and just got a Nexus 7 for my birthday. I have tried to sync my current Comcast email to my device's gmail. Not very user friendly! How do I do that? Should I give up and just go on the web onto Comcast?

Have you tried using the email app? (Not gmail, email)

If you have tried that and it didn't work, Comcast actually has their own app. I use it, it works quite well.

I just let Gmail pick up my ISP account and other e-mail account and manage all e-mails and contacts in Gmail. Works great if you have multiple e-mail accounts.
