How to sync Windows playlist to Andriod

Simple question, how do I sync playlist from Windows (.m3u, or .wpl) to my Android? I've tried various options and nothing is working. :)

Here's what I've tried:

WinAmp wireless sync: It isn't reliable. Sometimes it detects my phone through Wi-Fi, but then it just dies after trying to transfer 2 songs from the playlist. Most of the time it doesn't detect at all.

Windows Media Player: WMP sees my phone via USB as a device, and it says it can "sync". However, after syncing, it only copies over the songs over (the playlist don't show up anywhere on my phone)

Does anyone have any solutions to this (surely others must have encountered these problems as well)...

Well it would help if you would say what phone you use. Although I've been using WinAMP to sync my playlists over and having had no problems. Note however that I've been using a wired sync (USB cable and WinAMP for PC) and not wireless sync.

Oops. I'm using a Nexus S on stock 4.1.2.

Is there an option for USB sync with WinAmp? I can't find this if there is.

What versions of WinAmp are you using (I'm using v5.63 on my Win7 desktop and 1.4.10 on my phone).

WinAmp 5.63 on Win7

Just open WinAmp then plug in your phone. I'm using the Big Bento UI. On the media library tab, go to the "devices" section then click on discover. Wait for a few minutes til it discovers your Android device, then simply sync it over.

Hmm,

Doesn't work for me. Windows Media Player and Windows can see the phone, but WinAmp doesn't (I've tried letting it discover for 5+ mins). Is there anything I can do to force detect somehow?

:(

Nope. Still no go. I can discover with Wifi, but as I mentioned earlier, I can sync one or two songs, and then it becomes stuck trying to connect. =/

When you plug in the phone via USB, is there no notification in the pull down bar about a USB connection?

I must say that you're issue is decidedly odd to me, since I just got my SIII mini yesterday from my carrier, and WinAmp for Windows detected it a few secs after the drivers installed and allowed me to sync via USB no issues.

There is the notification. And once I enable the USB connection, I can't use the phone, and in Windows I can see all the files etc. However, WinAmp itself still can't discovery my Nexus S. My only conclusion now is its my phone? (unless someone else has successfully done this with a Nexus S).

I don't have your device but when you plug your device in what usb options can you select(camera, MTP....)?

Doubletwist worked! I installed it on both desktop and my phone, and it was able to sync my playlist properly. I would've preferred not installing another app just to sync playlist, but this works :)

When I go into camera mode it tells me storage is unavailable and I can't take a picture. When I try to play something on Google Music, it also says it can't play the track, so I guess the USB is properly disabled?

Regardless, ty OutOfPhase & chanchan05 for your help

:)
