How to tell if your SanDisk Ultra microSDXC 64GB card is fake or not?

Hello, I just bought the card. I read that there are many fake products in the market. Is there a good way to tell if the one I got is authentic or fake? Thanks.

There's a windows utility called h2testw you can use to test the card. Biggest risk is a card that's hacked to report a larger capacity than it really has, in which case h2testw will report errors when run.

Thanks. Is there any way to tell without opening the package? If I open it, I cannot get an exchange. (Store does not allow refund.)

That I don't know. Depends on how much effort someone will go to to make something look real.

Of course "no refunds" is a tricky one if involved in illegal activity (such as selling fake goods). Guess it's a matter of where the store is and, even if it's in a reasonable jurisdiction, how much effort you're prepared to make.

Personally I only buy memory cards from established vendors who have a returns policy and who I know I have some comeback on. Probably costs me a few
