How to tell what app bogs me down

just curious if there is an easy way to tell what app or apps are bogging down my phone. It is intermittent that the Evo will lag and bog down for a couple minutes. It happens every morning when I unplug it and can't open any apps for a couple minutes, they all time out and force close. Any ideas how to track down what might be causing it other than uninstalling one at a time?

I installed Watchdog and so far it has served me well. You can set CPU thresholds so that if an app loses its mind and starts pounding on the CPU when in the background, you get a notification. You can then decide whether to kill it or white list it (if it's OK that it's using so much CPU).
