Apps How to test 9-patches

Hi! I'm new to android development. Is there a way to easily/quickly test the 9-patches that i've created along with some basic code? Any help/guidance that you can provide will be much appreciated.

I'm so new that I don't know quite what 9-patches refers to. I apologize if this isn't what you're looking for, but if you've written an application and want to run it / debug it on a virtual device (on your computer) or your device (your actual phone), this helped me set that up:
