dose anyone know how to turn off the data on the razr

Settings, data manager, disable data

Or you can use a nice built-in widget and place it on a home screen: long press/widgets/Mobile data toggle
Its much easier..just tap it on/off

I do not have that option. Are you sure it is not part of something else you have loaded?

Its called power control. Long press the screen where you would like to place the widget ...select Widgets in the pop up window... look for power control and select it. The widget will now appear on your screen.
