How To Turn Off Auto-Correct In Messaging?

I 'm tired of continually correcting the "auto-corrected mistakes" in text messages. It's more of a bother than a help. How do I turn it off?

There isn't an "auto-correct" option that I can find in Settings.

I am also getting irritated by the auto-correcting in the text messages. Don’t have any idea about disabling the "auto-correcting" option.

This is what I found for an LG G8. I don't have an LG:

SwiftKey has its Settings on the keyboard extended top bar.

It took a while to figure it out on my phone - the Recent Apps Key noted in the instructions did nothing. Here is the sequence that works:

Home Screen Settings ➔ Language & Keyboard ➔ LG Keyboard ➔
Auto-correction ➔
Press English ➔ Select Off

Back
Top Bottom
