How to turn off PIN lock screen created through FoxFi?

I just got a S5 and set up FoxFi (paid) on it. It made me use the PIN lock screen. Now I don't know how to turn it off. It says security is required because of a certificate or something. How can I occasionally use FoxFi and disable the PIN - at least whenever I'm not using FoxFi?

Someone elsewhere said it had something to do with VPN, but when I go to VPN under other networks in settings, it says there us no VPN. I could really use some help with this. I don't want to enter a password every time I open my phone.

If you turn off the PIN lock and the phone works (except for FoxFi), you could get Tasker and write a task to turn on the PIN lock, then run FoxFi. When FoxFi closes, a task can disable Keyguard (which will return the screen lock to "none").

It was something about newer version of Android that forces a PIN when using FoxFi. It's on the FoxFi Google Play description and it tells how to turn it off again. It's kind of ridiculous.

I am having trouble with this. I installed Foxfi in a moment of need at an airport (and it worked). But I don't want to live with the PIN for the rest of my life. So I uninstalled Foxfi. I also followed the directions on Foxfi page on Google play to remove the Foxfi certificate (go to settings -> security -> certificates -> user view -> scroll down and delete). And STILL my phone will not allow me to remove the PIN!!! I have seen a key to delete ALL certificates on the phone, but : (1) I don't know that it would help; (2) I already deleted FoxFI certificate, as instructed; (3) I have about 150 certificates...is it safe to just nuke them all?

Anybody succeeded at restoring the former PIN-free status after deinstalling FoxFi?

OK, I will answer my own question. I did go ahead and try "Settings->Security-> Clear Credentials" (by the way, I am paraphrasing menu labels...my phone UI is not in English). This did work. I was then able to remove the PIN. Also, if I now go to "View Credentials", it seems that it did NOT clear out this list of 150 or so items. The list looks about the same before I did the "Clear Credentials." So I'm not sure what exactly it did. But it did unlock the menu options for disabling screen lock, so ...problem solved.

1. Goto google.com/android/devicemanager and locate your phone.
2. Click "Lock" and chose a new number password.
3. Type the new password on your phone and it will unlock.
4. Now it should let your change the lockscreen to anything, and foxfi will continue to work

Still working after restarting phone and using Foxfi Galaxy S5
