How to turn off standard messaging and use Chomp

Hi all, , excuse me if this has been answered before.

I have installed ChompSMS, and it works great. But the standard messaging programme is still there, and has all the messages in it as well.

Is there a way for Chomp only to get the messages, and the standard one to stay blank ?

Nope. As always, just disable the notifications in the stock app.

No, chomp and handcent use the same standard receive and storage mechanism they just have a different front end.

How do you get chompSMS to show you when messages are delivered? it shows for messages that had been in the phone before i installed the app, but whenever i send a message from chomp it only says it's sent, never delivered. does it work for you?
