How to Uninstall Internet Explorer 9?

Android Expert
I upgraded to Internet Explorer 9 and it was a mistake. I clicked on the Internet Explorer icon and the window pops up but all the text "melts" down the window. The text blurs down the window and is unreadable plus the layout looks terrible. How can I uninstall IE9 so that I can go back to IE8? I need IE for streaming Netflix to my Samsung Epic.

I'm using Foxfire browser on Windows Vista right now.

Go into the windows update menu, view the update history, and click the link at the top to remove installed updates, and find IE9.

IE9 is pretty awful with the interface, at least IMO. Same with firefox 4. Sigh I must be getting old/in a minority or something.

or go to control panel then programs and features and view updates installed and look for ie9 and uninstall it. it will automatically revert to ie8

I used this and it worked perfectly:

"To uninstall Internet Explorer

The following instructions apply to both Windows 7 and Windows Vista.

Click the Start button Picture of the Start button, type Programs and Features in the search box, and then click View installed updates in the left pane.

Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section.

Right-click Windows Internet Explorer 9, click Uninstall, and then, when prompted, click Yes.

Click one of the following:

Restart now (to finish the process of uninstalling Internet Explorer 9, and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer).

Restart later (to wait until you shut down or restart your computer).

After you uninstall Internet Explorer 9, the previously installed version of Internet Explorer will be available on your computer. It is not necessary to reinstall."

Actually, there is. You can install v3.16.x or even older versions - you just have to know how to get them.

ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/

Listed are the folders that corresponds to releases of Firefox. From 0.10 all the way to the current 4.x releases.

For those who like the antiquated approach of the older Fx browsers, there you go.
