Hy,

I just bought Honor 8X and its just an amazing smartphone. Right now it's working on android 8.1, but I want to upgrade it to Android 9.0 (Pie). I have checked for an update, but its not working.

Can anyone suggest/guide me about it so it will be helpful for me.

Do you know if Huawei has made Android 9, EMUI 9 available for this phone? Or were you looking at a custom ROM for it? I presume it's just saying the software is up to date, when you check?

Lol just when i saw this the Honor X is banned in the US so he most likely will never get Android pie but possibly their alternative OS

Yeh, it may never receive any more updates at all.

Hmm, Americans have a reputation for wanting to sue for anything at all, so I wonder whether anyone has thought of a class action against the US government for denying them future updates that they would have expected when they made the choice to buy their phones? ;)

I don't think so it works for us because if they are going to ban the more updates, then no one can get a solution for it. I hope the company will soon share some good news for its users.
