How to upgrade from Android 4.4.3?

Hi, my wife has brought my old HTC Desire 510 back into use! However, much software won't run on Android 4.4.3. I have run the software update and it says no updates available. Anyway to get a later version on the phone, please?

The HTC Desire 510 is a dated model and has only marginal hardware specs so there is that. Another issue is there are no Samsung stock versions of Android that are newer for this model. Given there are both hardware and software limitations, it's not a very good option if she wants to use this phone as any kind of daily usage phone.

Yes forget about the update, the phone is still good for making calls or texting, and maybe some limited apps running...

Even if you update your phone, it won't be able to run the newer apps as it doesn't have the necessary hardware power.
