how to upgrade to android GB??

I am from India and a new android user with the purchase of my new mobile phone Samsung Galaxy Ace. I can see it is pre installed with android froyo. But I came to know from different sources that it is upgradable to android GB...is it true??
If it is, then what are the steps to be taken for doing that??
