How to use phone as a temporary desktop computer?

I have connected my phone (Note 3 CM12.1) to a full hd monitor, keyboard and a mouse, but all I got was just a bloated phone screen. How to make it to display much denser screen, like a real computer: small icons, small font, thin bezels, lots of space and such? To be usable on 27 inch monitor? And how to do it temporarily, after disconnecting I want to use it as a phone again.

I don't think it can to be frank, the versions of Android built for phones, are designed for phone screens and that's it. So what you get is a blown-up version. There are versions of Android specifically built and intended to be used as a desktop computer with a large screen, and they usually come in that format.

I have an 8inch tablet that can do that, "real computer: small icons, small font, thin bezels, lots of space and such"....BUT it's actually running Windows 10, not Android.

I second that first response. I have never read it being done successfully and as mentioned, a phone (most anyways) are not designed to be a computer but a portable device. Tablets can work because they are meant to be adjustable, but a phone's standard screen, even zoomed all the way in, is no bigger than a tablets.
