Help how to use phone as pc speaker

Hi, my laptop speakers don't work properly so I want to use my phone as the speakers (or tablet). I want the speakers to work on 3.5mm audio jack. Is there any app I can use to amplify the sounds sent through the laptop. I have a jellybean tablet that I can use and I also have a gingerbread phone that I can dare to root.

Any help would be appreciated

A $10 set of external speakers works better than any phone or tablet.
