How to use the GS3 as a modem

I just upgraded my computer to windows 8 and my wifi drivers aren't compatible with Windows 8 yet. Is there a way to take a unrooted GS3 and have it connected to my wireless network, then have the phone hooked up to the pc with the usb cord and be able to access the Internet through the phone? I've got foxfi but that does me no good as my wifi card isn't working. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Depends. For those of us whose carriers haven't removed the wifi hotspot feature, we also have usb tethering in the same menu.

If you're on one of those US carriers, I'd suggest looking for a usb tethering app in play. Can't recommend any. This feature has been part if android since day one
