Help How to wipe my pulse mini?

I need to completely wipe my T-Mobile Pulse Mini because I plan on selling it.

Would it work to get a new micro sd card and go to the settings menu and reset the phone by choosing the factory data reset option?

I need to wipe any trace of me ever using the phone and for it to be completely new for the new owner.

Welcome to the Android forums!
Factory reset will delete all data stored in the phone and nothing will be left behind.
If you have SD card reader, you can also overwrite it's contents with following tool, it will be like new and it will be impossible to restore any data from it then :
