The mobile application is a type of software application designed to work on mobile devices like smartphone & tablet. Mobile apps are mainly small individual software unit with limited function.

yes, but how do they work?
 
  • Online application access through mobile device browser
  • Browser govern access to local storage and device services (camera, GPS etc)
  • Highly reusable code
  • Highly portable
 
Some grab the forecast from the NWS (stateside) for your location. Most apps do require location, but they will work on phone only GPS.

I use NOAA. Finding a few others finally that aren't trying to be social media. The site with the most charts and less media are favored. I hate the videos, and of course, you can't disable or delete them

Annoyed at some differences between Android and iOS, although it could be the way developers see the users of the OS. I do have an iPad for some CAD apps that android doesn't have.

Weather Underground has a storm module on iOS, it is listed on Play, but it isn't available.
