Howto to store music CD into Android smartphone ?

Hello,

I'm just looking the easiest way to save some of my favorites music CD into my Android smartphone (OS version is Froyo).
I'm using a Linux Ubuntu laptop : I suppose I need to store the CD on the laptop and after in the smartphone, correct ?

Thanks for any help.

Bye,
Bruno

It's really just a matter of converting the CD tracks to mp3 format, then mount your phone and drag the files into the music folder of your SD card.

You'll first need to rip the CD so that you get mp3 files for each song, then you copy those files to the music directory on your phone.
I'm not sure what CD rippers there are available for Linux. Many music player can also rip the song, so you might check whatever player you've got on your laptop to see if it has an option to rip.

I think most, if not all Linuxes have an mp3 ripper but have it disabled by default for legal and licensing reasons. It isn't hard to enable but i'm too lazy to do so. :D
