I've had this computer for awhile it was my brothers and I got it when he passed he's got a lot of passwords and areas I cant get into is there a way to reset this thing like I can my phone
 
Which model of Probook is it, and what Operating System? Is there a Bios / EFI password?
You can 'factory reset' Windows 10, details are on Microsoft's website.
 
JUST buy the windows 10 cd to install windows through bios either bootable CD/FLASHDRIVE
or install linux is free either through lan OR cd
or format the HDD in another laptop to install OS with your CD
