Root HTC 10 freezes on HTC green logo

Hello everyone,

I'm new to HTC flash and ROM things, i have an HTC 10. It was working perfectly untill i did the update then i got stuck at HTC logo in green.

I contacted HTC via live chat and they told me the phone is for Saudi Arabia with Haddad Telecom company. I know the phone is unlocked since i used it with my Canadian phone carrier.

The problem is that i have a Locked bootloader with S-ON so i cant download another ROM untill i unlock the bootloader. In fact i tried many many methods to unlock it but i always get stopped @ looking for devices in Command Prompt after i downloaded all the APK files, drivers, fastboot.... Everyhing i could online.

Is there a way to get the original ROM for the company it was basicly locked to? If not is there another way to unlock the boot loader other than HTCDEV team that blocks me and i'm unable to go further.

thanks

Firstly, what update and how did you try to apply it? We only know what you tell us, so best to be explicit rather than assume we know things.

Secondly, did you put the phone in fastboot/download mode? You should always test the connection using the command "fastboot devices" before attempting any fastboot operation. There are no apks that are relevant to bootloader unlocking, so it sounds like you are a little unclear about what you are doing, so can you describe step by step how you attempt to unlock it? Some carriers (mainly US) insist that bootloaders cannot be unlocked, but that doesn't sound like your problem: it hasn't got to that point.

There is no other way of unlocking the bootloader with the phone in this state. You may be able to reflash it if we can find the correct RUU (ROM Update Utility). Can you tell us what it says on the bootloader screen (any software information)? We need to find a compatible RUU that is not older than the current software.

First though, have you tried trivial things like going into recovery and clearing the cache partition, or if that fails a factory reset?
