HTC Desire HD music problem

hi,having a big problem putting music ,photos etc onto my htc desire hd. I've got a 32gb card in it.ive tried everything from dragging them into a specific music folder to htc sync.nothing has worked.on memory card info it show as having used 20 gb but the music and photos are no where to be found.Does anyone know where im going wrong?

Well, when you drag files to the card, where are you putting them? Download Astro on your phone, and then navigate to that folder. If the card says 20gb is used, then obviously the files are on there somewhere.

ive just formatted the memory card.recreated the music folder and dragged several albums onto it.i ejected the phone from my computer and then went onto music player.some of the albums showed up and some didnt.so i reconnected it to my p.c and in the music folder the album was there in title but when i went into the folder it was empty.some of the mp3's that played are now also the same and say empty even tho i haven't deleted any.
