Hello everyone. I am new to this forum and hopefully you can help me. Just received an HTC Desire 601. The phone is activated and basically working. Would like to load up some apps from Google Play Store. Problem is that it sits there and searches for ever. I am connected via WIFI. If I do a basic Google search, I get search results. So I know there is a good connection. Hopefully you can help.

In the notification bar at the top of the screen, is the WiFi / Cell signal strength indicators white or are they Blue?
