I am due an upgrade in 13 days and want to jump onto the Android bus, to replace my aging Xperia X1.
I live in the UK so great phones like the “Incredible” or Droid X are not available here.
I narrowed my search down to three phones; Desire, X10 & Galaxy S..
I have ruled out the X10 due to all of the reports I read reference poor software / batter performance.
Therefore I am looking at either the HTC Desire or the Samsung Galaxy S. Tbh, I am currently leaning towards the Desire, as historically I have not liked Samsung phones (due to their previous interfaces).
However I have read a lot of good reports about their android alternative, and just wanted to know if any of you guys had some feedback?
I understand that the HTC Desire is better for the following reasons:
1. Sense UI much better than Samsung
2. Flash on Camera
3. Slightly more RAM
4. Better for updates? In particular Android 2.2 & 2.3?
5. Better Build Quality than Samsung..
I believe the Samsung is better for:
1. Bigger, and better screen
2. Larger internal memory
3. Slightly better processor?
4. Better battery performance
5. HD Video (720p)
Aside for these aspects, which do you guys generally prefer?
All opinions are welcome.
