HTC Desire; synch with PST folders

Bit of background - wife has a new HTC Desire and I love it. To the extent I'm thinking of getting one for work to replace my phone + Blackberry.

BUT there's one feature I have on the Blackberry that's probably a deal breaker

From work I get a ton of emails a day. On the Blackberry synch application you can also mirror over to the phone a structure of an existing separate PST file (over and above the Inbox that lives on the corporate Exchange server). I get through so many emails that I have a separate PST file for each year and this lives on my work laptop.
So on the Blackberry I can read an email and select "File" and store this within the mirror of the PST structure on the Blackberry. When I next synch up to the laptop, any moves are replicated. Brilliant.

I don't think this can be done with the HTC Desire? Does anybody know of a way to achieve the same?

I can't go back to just reading emails and then filing on the laptop - too much work to ever get completed.

If anybody can help with pointers that'll be great - otherwise I'll have to plod on with the Blackberry which will be a real shame.

Thanks for your time reading this ...

Steve
