Help Htc Desire Will Not Charge, Or Soft Reset.

GreenGold

Lurker
My HTC Desire Is Not Charging. In the past, I have had to do a soft reset (volume button and power button) however, it is not showing that screen anymore. It just saying Battery 0% and vibrates multiple times. Now, I have had the battery charging all night and nothing has changed. Any help?

Multiple vibrates isn't a good sign.

Does the light come on when you connect the charger? If it flashes, that would indicate a charging problem, in which case the question is is it the phone or the battery? If nothing comes on that's a bad sign indeed - assuming you have a Desire model that has a charging light (since you didn't say which Desire model you have - there are a lot of them!).

If it won't charge at all nothing else will help (these devices run off the battery even when plugged in: that is literally just a charger), you need to fix that problem.

It doesn't light up. But It stop doing that months ago and still worked fine. I have a Desire 626. It died yesterday and now won't charge or pull up the reboot screen. It just vibrates and show 0%.

Well the 626 has a fixed battery, so I think that it's repair or replace now. I could speculate about what the fault could be, but it wouldn't change the conclusion: if it won't even boot into the bootloader and you can't just swap the battery there is nothing that can be done without taking it apart.
