Htc droid eris/verizon/usa/colorado

just got off the phone with Verizon. they said the updates are being sent one at a time, one person at a time. I asked if I could download it myself for the HTC Droid Eris; not yet was the answer, but it was hinted that they realized how slow it was coming out and maybe [crossing fingers] they will put it on the web.

I hope they do decide to let us update manually as opposed to OTA, I'm dying for my update.

Read more carefully please. 1.6 is not out. Version 1.16x is out. OS is still 1.5.

Yes, true it is an update. But not everybody reads before they jump and if they saw your post first they would jump...then complain later about misleading info.
