HTC finally turns a profit in fiscal Q2 2014

For the first time in about a year HTC has finally been able to announce that they've turned a profit in a quarter. It's a result they expected after shifting their focus to mid-range smartphones and releasing the HTC One M8 back in April.

I'm glad they turned a profit. However, I am questioning what caused their decline. Seems like they haven't learned and might be repeating the same mistake again. Okay, they released the M8, then the Harmon & Kardon edition. Now I'm hearing about an "Eye" edition with a 13 MP camera. Why not have all of these features in one phone so buyers can have the best of all worlds? They keep coming out with phones that serves this and that market. If you build a phone with a 13 MP camera, Harmon & Kardon speakers, and with split screen technology HTC won't be able to meet the demand because everyone will be buying the phone.
