HTC has no new Flagship for Holiday 2016?

Tragic!

What happened to HTC?
Its time for them to capitalize on Samsung's downfall. I am sad about Samsung not having a large screen phone for holiday 2016. I ended up with a ZTE Max Pro to tie me over till the Note 8.

Either way, since when does any company release more than 1 flagship a year?? Samsung was the exception to that rule, and look how that turned out ;)

HTC hasn't released a "flagship" for the holidays in many years. Flagships are typically announced at or near the first quarter, or near CES early in the year, and released a few months later. That's how it was for the M8, M9 and 10. Low end models are released in the late spring or summer (Desires) and mid-range usually in the fall. Last year it was the A9, which wasn't on Verizon; this year it's the Bolt, which is exclusive to Sprint. Apart from the Pixel & Pixel XL, made by HTC but sold by Google, there's nothing new for anyone except Sprint. Expect the next flagship early next year, and don't expect rumors about it until after Nougat drops for all current models.

The international version of the Bolt is expected to be announced in a couple of days. But as you say, that's not a flagship (though is larger screened than the 10, if that's what you want).

HTC releases 2 phones a year. One in Feb and one for the holidays. Clearly they gave up hope and let Samsung and Apple win. They were in the 3rd slot and no need to drop to the 4th slot for lack of confidence especially since they are the reason Android is here in the 1st place with the G1 years ago.
