Here's another article:
Vodafone's HTC Magic reportedly delayed until May

The main point is that it's going to be released in May with Vodafone- HTC only going so far as to say that it was "due to a last minute hardware change."

Well I'm glad they're going back and improving it. I'm waiting until the next gen iPhone, is released to make my final decision on which smartphone to buy.

I read another hands-on with the HTC Magic review and they said that the soft keyboard is good, but not as good as the iPhone. But they get another month to improve things. So hopefully they can tweak the Magic just right so it can come out fighting. So, assuming HTC is making a last minute change... the main question is what is this hardware improvement?

Here's my thoughts
1) The FCC approved Magic had a 5.0MP camera vs. the 3.2MP camera. Maybe there is a shortage of these cameras and that they're waiting for the stock to build up? I hope this isn't the big change, but that's the big difference between the US and European Magics...

2) Bigger hard drive/ability to store apps on SD card- with the market slowly gaining momentum, maybe they finally realized that 70MB for applications will limit Android market downloads. The competition destroy's the G1/Magic's internal memory capacity. This is personally what I want.

3) Improved battery technology- nuff said.
