Help HTC Magic Trackball

Hello everyone

I just got my HTC Magic from Rogers (Dream to Magic upgrade) and was wondering... Is the trackball supposed to light up on notifications.. I looked everywhere in the settings and cant find anything for the trackball

it depends on the notification I belive, For example if i receive an text , an email or a call it will light up.

If I like get an update on the market notification or when I plug my phone into my PC it doesn't flash.

Their is no option to change the trackball settings in the menu

After applying the 911 update, my trackball now lights up.. go figure

if only it would light up with all the other lights in normal use as opposed to just lighting up as a result of a notification

What is the 911 update?

I installed a nice app called SMS Popup and that lets me fiddle with the LED colours and flashing pattern, but nothing on the trackball.

I'd love to be able to fiddle with the trackballs. Hahaha!

Mine lights up with notification

Mine only lights up for incoming calls. How did you get yours to light up for notifications?
