The Magic is a very nice/device. I've had it since June 2009, and don't regret it at all.
That said, it is a very old Android Phone, the oldest Rogers carries.
Really, if you are getting a/extending you contract any way, you're better off getting one of the newer devices. The Samsung Galaxy S Captivate is probably the best Android phone Rogers currently has. I say currently because a whole slew of new, awesome phones just debuted at the CES show, and since Bell and Telus have both annouced plans to carry some, I would assume Rogers will carry a newer phone as well.
Depends how long you can wait to get a device.
So, like I said, yes, it's a nice phone (and yes, the vibration works just fine) but it is long in the tooth, so you might want something newer.
For the record, the Sony Ericsson X10 and the Acer Liquid E (both at Rogers) are also nice devices, but also "older" devices now.
