The firmware doesnt seem to be available on htc's site when you select united kingdom as the country.

Has anyone in the uk tried this firmware?

Also am i right in saying that it wont work with the vodafone version anyway?

as far as I know this is only for non-google branded phones, so it won't work on vodaphone.

I heard this was built around 1.5 so am not sure if it contains 1.6 features such as the new market etc.

Personally I haven't tried it because this update doesn't work "with Google" handsets

yeah i dont think for one minute it will be 1.6 as i keep reading HTC are going from v1.5 to v2.1 so it must be a variation of the Hero rom.

It is actually my clueless friend who has the magic, i have a hero so already have sense. As the magic is not my phone im not interested in going down the custom rom route but i said id find out for him.

What's the likelyhood that the google branded magics will get the update? I didnt realise there was a difference.
