Help HTC Manual Update falsely claims battery under 30% when fully charged.

Hi guys.

I am attempting to update my AT&T One X to the latest version found here. HTC One

I've followed instructions and everything proceeds fine until the HTC update software gives me an error message that the phone needs to be charged more than 30% to proceed. The phone is completely charged 100%.

This even more frustrating considering I shouldn't have to do this crap to begin with. The update won't download and/or update via the AT&T network either.

It's simply amazing that in 2012, the latest technology, AT&T, windows 7, HTC One X, etc still can't manage do things simply and correctly.

Any ideas on how to proceed?

Thanks.

Yes Jayc, the phone was restarted multiple times.

An update: Took the phone to a warranty center and they used all of their insider tricks and couldn't get the phone to update either. They are sending a replacement by mail.

In a related note, the guy at the warranty center told me the OneX uses Gorilla Glass 1 not 2. It's also different depending on the technology which explains the tiny scratches.

He also gave me a little sheet of tips for the battery, most of which I've been doing incorrectly. I'll post an image of the tips later.
