htc merge help help help

i just traded up my lg triton to the htc merge, not happy so far. basic functions that took seconds on triton, are way complicated on new phone. have a few questions.
1, how do i get my text messages to automatically play, and how do i save a pic or audio from text messages i receive?
2, is there a way to have my ringtones for contacts, also sound when that person sends me a text?
3, is there a way to have an audio folder or something, so all my ringtones can be in just one place, so i can attach all to a ringtone, or notifications, or attachment to an email?

so far the cool features are awsome, jst dont understand why basic features like texting and sounds are so complicated. everytime i want to do something my old, old phone did, im told get an app for that? why do i have to have an app for my smartphone to do what my old basic phone did? someone please help me. i about to take my phone back.

ps: does anyone know of a phone thats almost like the lg triton, but has a flash camera. the real reason i upgraged was i wanted a better camera on my phone. but i miss the easy use of my triton,
