HTC not charging

[Android Question]

I have had my HTC Wildfire S since they came out and recently i have been having some trouble charging it.
The orange LED glows to show it is charging,but when i take the charger out,my phone still displays the sa,e amount of charge as when i put it on to charge.
I have had to literally hold the charger into my HTC Wildfire S for it to charge,and even then it won't charge fully...
Please can someone help me?!

From your post, I gather that the phone cable for charging isn't making a proper connection to your device on its own, but if you force the cable in further or harder, it charges.

First of all, please be very careful when forcing equipment together, as you can cause further damage. Second, it might b a good idea to try another charging cable, as the prongs on your current cable might be worn.
Third, it could be an issue with the charging port on the phone itself, which will mean that the only resolution is phone replcement.
