Htc One M7 Headphone Problem

[Android Question]

Hi, I just bought a HTC one about 2 months ago and one time I unplugged my headphones ( the headphones that came with the phone) and plugged them back in and it didn't work. I tried other headphones Samsung, bose ect. And they work fine but I love my HTC headphones cause they're better quality. Help? Anyone have the same problem?

I've not met this, but the obvious question would be whether they work in other devices? If not that would imply that something has broken in the headphones.

Otherwise though it's a mystery to me.
