HTC One M9 Battery

Hi everyone, I charged my phone to 100% and put brightness half way up. I turned wi-fi on and started downloading Asphalt 8. In an hour and half the battery went to 78% and no power saving mode wasn't turned on. Is this normal? Thanks in advance

It still sounds relatively normal.

1.5 Hours screen on time, the WiFi radio was active and there would've been some CPU load, so losing 22% in that time doesn't seem unreasonable for any device.
Thanks a lot...It's a new phone so I just want to check everything is OK... :)
It didn't seem to loose a lot of battery when I played UFC..
BTW do you think I should charge it from 40% to 100% or can I let it drop to 15% and then charge it? Thanks in advance

Someone could correct me if I'm wrong, but everything I've seen shows that lithium ion batteries last longer using short charge cycles rather than draining it down to near empty.

Thanks a lot..last question..do you think HTC One m9 is good for playing games compared to other flagships? Thanks in advance

True but down to 15% is not near empty.

It's about heat - heat destroys battery lifetime. Charging while hot and in deep depletion is even worse.

Otherwise don't worry about it.

Should be: powerful GPU, "only" 1080p, so the frame rate shouldn't be a problem. From Anandtech's reviews it will maintain the frame rate better than the S6 (there are some plots of framerate vs time in their 2 reviews which show much worse thermal throttling of the gpu in the Samsung).
