Help HTC One M9 headphone Jack broken.

I was walking in an rv park with my mom and I was listening to music. I think I walked at a wrong angle and ended up breaking off the tip of the headphone plug off in the Jack. I have had success with a headphone splutter but it's rather finicky. Is there another method that's not require repair or having to send it in?

You can convert your ATH M50X to wireless headphone. There are many howto guides on Internet.

Or you could just buy a set of wireless headphone, the native version usually has its own long life battery and equalizer.

Yes kind of, if your old headphone has a 3.5mm audio jack.

But personally, for that price I would buy a brand-new wireless headphone instead of modding the old one.

Getting back to the broken tip inside the headphone jack, did it snap off pretty much flush with the edge of the phone casing? If it protrudes even a little you might be able to just yank it straight out using a pair of small needle nose pliers. Or if it broke off and the broken tip is receded inside the jack, and you have a pretty steady hand, take a toothpick and put a tiny (emphasis on tiny) droplet of crazy glue or epoxy on the end, adhere it to the plug end (NOT contacting the jack or phone), and then try to gently pull it straight out.

It's a tiny shard of metal. It's probably 4-5 inches deep in there.

What failed? The super glue/epoxy adhesion? The stick/tool break when you were trying to attach or remove the headphone jacket stuck in the phone?

The glue isn't terribly strong and the toothpicks aren't strong enough to remove the metal fused to the jack wall.

I also forgot to mention that the phone does stereo almost perfectly (albeit with some very faint feedback.) plugged into some studio monitors via the front auxiliary.

Couple ideas for you:

• Bring it to a watch/clock repair person or bring it to a jeweler. In both cases they should have the tools and know how for a minute job like this
  
  
• Change up your glue. Try Gorilla Glue? Try Loctite, its made for metal? (Loctite also makes an awesome super glue for industrial use) JB Weld makes an epoxy for metal
  
  
• Change up your "stick". Take apart a ballpoint pen, use the plastic tube that gravity feeds the ink. Clip off the end of the tube that is clean. Superglue should adhere to the plastic tube very well. Use the plastic/paper stick from a Q-Tip (cotton Swab)
  
  
• Use the small straw from a juice box or Capri-Sun to "flex fit" around the connector - No Glue
  
  
  
• Buy a Gripstick
