Htc one or Htc one max

I am new here so just getting to grips with this forum.

I am looking to upgrade my mobile. I currently have a HTC one x.
I have heard lots of good things about the HTC one.

What is the camera like on the one vs the one x?

I have also heard that the one is going to get upgraded not sure if its just a software update. But similar to what happened with the one x going to the one x+.

I also see that there is a HTC one max coming.

Am I better to wait for the updated one, or max?

I will be with EE network so will recieve 4g.

I know not HTC but I am looking to buy 2 Nexus 7 2nd generation when available. Is it worth paying

Hi Craig, and welcome to AF :)

A software update to Android 4.2.2 has been rolling out recently, but I don't know whether EE handsets have it yet (network branding tends to slow these things down). I've heard nothing about a hardware revision, and when the One was released HTC denied that there would be one this year (but plans might change). It's possible that the 64GB version might eventually get a UK release anyway :)

The rumours on the Max are just that, though it looks likely that it's real. If so it will be more powerful, but bigger. Up to you whether that's a pro or con - I've no interest in phones bigger than the One, but some people find them very desirable.

Re. the N7, whether it's worth the extra for the storage depends on your usage. If you want to store media, or a few large games, yes.

As for an external hard drive, I assume the N7 supports USB OTG ("On The Go"), but haven't read the specs to be sure. That's what you should look for. If it is supported it should be able to use an external hard drive over usb (using an OTG adapter cable - couple of

Thanks for the reply.

Is there a external sd slot on the N7?

I am thinking HTC one at the moment as its a good size and Spec.

My wife has the Samsung s4 but I am a loyal HTC user.

The N7 ver. 2013 is just like the original N7 - No support for a Micro SD card. So get all the memory you think you need when you buy it. I haven't heard if it supports a USB OTG, but I use a 64GB USB thumb drive occasionally with my 32GB WiFi original N7 for media, but not for games or most other uses.

As for the One, if you're an HTC fan you will love it. (I do) My wife has an S4 also and I quickly concluded that it's just not for me. Too plasticky and too much pre-loaded junk on it.

IMO, the camera on the One won't replace a good stand alone camera, but it does quite nicely for a phone and I can't complain about it.

Good luck!
