Help HTC One V, USB Mass storage, ES File Ex/Man, and still a failure

Ok, so self admittedly I am still a novice..
I have learned alot in the last 3 months since starting with a Galaxy Rush and Jellybean.
Ive started learning root and Odin.

But Im far from having a hang on USB Mass and related endeavors.

My HTC One V from Virgin Mob with 4.0.3 giving me a run for my money.
I learn best from seeing the Pro's list out the proper meI thods while I slap my forehead repeatedly at where I went wrong, lol.
