HTC One V won't turn on

ive had this htc one v for a few months now and it worked perfectly fine but a few hours ago i fully charged it and then noticed less than a hour later the battery level was at 7% and by the time i unlocked it it was already down to 4%. I plugged it into charge and it stayed at 0% for a while and now its dead with a flashing orange light but wont turn on.When i go to turn it on, the buttons at the bottom of the phone flash and then it just goes dead again.
