HTC one x digitizer help please

I have a HTC one x that I busted the screen on. I bought a LCD/digitizer combo off of Ebay. I got the old one out and the new one in with no trouble, only thing is when I powered up, everything came up perfect (screen, sound, volume up and down, home button, etc.) . Only problem is the touch screen won't work at all. Can someone please help? I don't know what went wrong. Thanks in advance for any help.

Any of a number of things could have gone wrong. YOu broke a wire in the cable (usually inside a connector). You broke a connector. Or put one in wrong. You damaged something on the motherboard. It's not possible to diagnose without having the phone in hand, which is why you'll have to bring it to a shop and pay them to fix it.

Which is why I tell people not to replace their own screens. It's cheaper to pay a shop to do it than to do it yourself, then pay the shop for the hours it takes them to find out what you did wrong.

Yea, thanks rukbat, I know now I should have spent the money and had a shop do it but figured I'd give it a try. I just thought maybe I had to do something to start it up. I read where some of the LCD's weren't compatible with the HTC one x motherboard and thought someone said there was a way to pair them.
Oh well, lesson learned. Thanks
