Help HTC One X(endeavour) stuck in boot loop

So this is not the first time I'm getting into the bootloop, but this one is been killing me for about 1 month now. I have searched a lot, tried to go back to stock(again HTC rejects as i'm on a newer software version).

The problem came in when I wanted to install Lollipop and I installed the TWRP new layout recovery and changed the file-system to install new CM12 ROM. That didn't work so I decided to go back to my old cwm 6.0.4.8 touch recovery which I had been using to flash the ROMs.

I installed it successfully, reverted back to old layout and tried flashing CM 11 which worked flawlessly before. but this time its stuck at that cyanogenmod logo at startup. Can somebody help me with this?

Did you try asking on XDA, you should be able to get help there.

In fact, I came here with the question that I want to root One X and install cyanogenmod. If I use towelroot then will I be able to install CM? or there are more steps than that?

If you want to root a One X properly, unlock it at HTCdev.com, install TWRP, do a nandroid backup, and either flash SuperSU or a rooted rom.

If you're on a carrier that's restricted HTCdev.com, then and only then do you want to revert to an exploit root method like Towelroot.

@EarlyMon

I have been checking the videos on Youtube. Do you mind going through these videos just to confirm that I am going to follow correct methods. I have got an hang of the process as I managed to install CM12 on Motorola XT910. That process was little different, as in , root, install Safestrap with TWRP, Backup System and then install CM with Gapps. Its worked pretty well.

Unlocking bootloader

Install TWRP

I could not find anything with Nandroid backup, at least not something I could understand.

Installation of CM and Gapps is in TWRP video. Although the guy who made video didn't keep the phone still, I understood.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Yeah, I mind terribly. :D

Every time someone follows a youtube how-to, I end up taking twice as long to unbrick the phone as it would have taken to just follow my instructions in the first place. You're going to end up with out of date rooting tools over 90% of the time.

Give me the following information -

Everything on your bootloader screen (HBOOT or FASTBOOT, not recovery) from the very top up to and including the date. If you can somehow swing a picture, even better.

Was your phone originally locked to a carrier, and if so, which one?

With just a little info, I can have you copying and pasting your way to a properly rooted One X in short order.

No, this is an international version One X. I bought this one in India.

Thank you so much. I managed to install CM12 on Motorola XT910, but I wasn't worried if it was going to brick. I AM worried with this one. Its DW's phone and she loves it.

Anoop, have you tried to flash the boot.img separately? That usually does the trick.

@deltaforce - thanks for the response, I'll be back shortly with instructions.
