after installing system update, my htc one x went off and now all it does is goe off as soon as the htc logo shows and on again, repeatedly until the battery dies. How can i fix this?? Please help!!!

Your phone is in a "soft brick" condition. This is usually recoverable. If this was an OTA (over-the-air) update, it happened because something interrupted the data or power connection while it was in progress. Before proceeding, be sure you have at least 70% battery remaining. Also, if after recovering, you decide to retry the update, agaian ensure 70% or more battery and that you are in a solid reception area. Follow the erase cache instructions here.
