Help HTC One X Lag

Ok, so I just switched to the HTC One X from an iPhone 3Gs. I was extremely impressed with the speed at first. Then I started using it, and now about twice a day I have to do a soft reset (Power and Volume down) just to get it to respond. I have avast! and cosmos running on boot, and rooted. I could be just on the web on it and it completely locks up and can't even put it to sleep using the power button. Any way to get this thing to actually work? I'm thinking of returning it and getting the S3..

I havent noticed any lag, but then again I dont even have a single song on this phone yet because its so confusing.

I actually also have no music on it. Just now, I had to soft reset the thing to get it to unlock. The screen woukd not respond. This happens about once a day..
