HTC One x+ widget refresh

Hey,

I'm new to android so pardon my ignorance.

Is it possible to change the refresh rate of the widgets?

I have the weather/clock widget active and it seems that maps is using up a lot of my battery and this is the only app/widget that I can think is constantly running.

Does anyone know if I can tell the widget to only fetch data every couple of hours or longer?

settings > accounts & sync > weather should allow you to change it.

Just for reference, though, it could be something to do with maps. Do you leave GPS enabled all the time?
