HTC One xl charging

Hello.
I recently brought a HTC one xl.
I'm just wondering how often I should be charging it to get the most out of battery?
do I charge it when its flat or before?
Does is affect my battery life if I'm charging it frequently?thank you

my understanding is with the Li-Ion batteries in the one x series, it doesn't really matter. I usually charge mine overnight then use it through the day till I get back to my room, by then it's usually about ready to be charged.

Lithium batteries dislike full charge and discharge cycles. They actually shorten the life of the battery and if the battery is completely discharged, there's a danger it won't turn on again.

As GuitarG20 says, just charge it when you need to, there's no memory effect with Lithium batteries, so a quick half hour top up does no harm.
