Help HTC One XL heats up

Hi. I have a HTC One XL from Singtel in Singapore and it heats up and drains the battery. Does anyone else have a problem with HTC One XL in Singapore or elsewhere? I think the problem is with 4G because when I set the carrier settings to 3G, the heating problem stopped. Please advise because having a 4G phone and not connecting via 4G seems funny. Thank you

Well When the internet is open of course the phone heats up but something some Appication can cost heating up your device too...

shengfu is quite correct many other apps that are misbehaving can also cause your phone to heat up..

Does your phone heat up when you just open the internet or is it when your surfing for a while watching videos etc....? Or just when on 4G with nothing open?
