Help htc one xl sound loss..

My one xl has lost the ability to play music, video audio as well as not being able to hear the person on the other end of a phonecall though they can still hear me...
All alarms, ringtone and notifications are still working fine...
I've tries all sound settings that I'm aware of to no avail, this only happened overnight and am stumped..
Any help would be appreciated...

If you use headphones, can you hear other people? (trying to rule out an app issue or if it's a problem with the speaker).

You've probably already checked, but is the volume all the way up?

I'll give the tooth brush a go as it'll probably need a clean but the speakers work fine with the ringtone, alarm and notifications, all volume settings are at full capacity...
I'll also try the earphones...
Cheers, it's very annoying as I need the contact for work as well..

Thanx for your help, I plugged my earphones in and out twice and all is working fine...
